GDPR

The Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies throughout the EU and also aims to create a uniform and equal level of protection of personal data so that the free flow of data within Europe is not hindered. The same rules apply throughout the EU. Much in the Data Protection Regulation is similar to the rules that existed in the Personal Data Act. In the same way as today, personal data may be processed with the consent of the data subjects, in order to fulfill an agreement or after a balance of interests, for example. The data subjects will continue to have the right to receive information about the personal data processing that is taking place - and the person who processes personal data must have sufficient security measures to ensure that the data is properly protected. When it comes to information on health, ethnic origin, political opinion or religious belief, special requirements are made.
